25 hrs later and halfway around the world...

Alana came up with that cheesy title. She says that if I am going to sit here and waste time trying to be clever that I am not allowed to post to our blog.

The flight here was quite an experience. Nothing kicks off a 23 hours of flying like 2 hrs sitting on the runway.
Remember, when airlines used to serve meals on the plane? And then they got rid of those meals because all the airlines were bankrupt, and everyone was sad, and said things like "What? They don't even serve meals anymore?" Well, what we're all forgetting is that those free meals were awful, and by our third airline meal, I opted for pretzel-cheddar Combos.
We had a short layover in Narita, Japan where we got our first taste of Asia. Ok, Narita Airport is not exactly immersing yourself in the Japanese culture, but it was still pretty cool.

We arrived in Singapore around midnight last night. 24 hrs and 1.5 days later. I will no longer make fun of "Japanese tourists" because I took about 20 pictures before even leaving the airports.
Nothing says, "Welcome to the other side of the world" like a familiar face. As soon as we exited customs we were greeted by, "Excuse me, are you Megan Collin's sister?". What are the chances that we run into Megan's friend Ben Cohen waiting for his dad at midnight in the Singapore airport. His dad was sitting next to us the entire flight. Craziness.
So far Singapore looks amazing. Everything is so clean. Even construction vehicles shine like they were detailed at Canton Car Wash (free plug, Cef). Can't wait to explore the city.
